This role offers a unique opportunity to foster a love for music and in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise in teaching music to children, ensuring engaging lessons that support their cognitive, emotional, and social growth. You will play a vital role in creating a joyful and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children can explore their musical talents and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Teaches general music to KG - 5th grade including harmony, appreciation, history, and ensemble. Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that areappropriate for the ages and skill levels of students. Current music teacher will provide suggested lessons during the maternity leave Cooperation with Head of School and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies and seasonal programs. Tuesdays :

9:00 - 2:00pm and Thursdays 9:00 - 2:00pm (Total 10 hours a week) Qualifications & Requirements Ÿ Minimum BA in Music or Music Education Ÿ Ability to work with musicians at all skill levels Ÿ Strong instrumental skills, including ukulele and recorder Ÿ A strong knowledge of differentiation strategies Ÿ Open-minded, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a willingness to embrace a unique, multicultural school culture Ÿ Must have an interest in working at school that strongly supports and embraces Mandarin and Spanish language and culture Join us as a Maternity Leave Music Teacher and make a meaningful impact during this special time!
