The position requires strong knowledge of vocal music, including theory, history, performance practices, and effective rehearsal techniques that support ensemble balance and diverse musical genres. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment by developing and implementing lesson plans for both individual and group instruction. Instruction should reflect a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning styles, abilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds of students. Responsibilities include organizing and directing choir rehearsals, performances, concerts, and school music events, while ensuring the proper care and use of all choir-related equipment and resources. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to motivate students, foster musical growth, and promote a positive classroom culture.
