After School Music Teacher (Woodwind & Brass Teacher) The Orchestra Place - 2.0 Los Angeles, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $75 - $80 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Childcare Classroom management Working with children Teaching Full Job Description About Us The Orchestra Place supports music education at schools throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We provide after-school music enrichment programs, offering a welcoming environment where instructors can share their musical knowledge and help young students develop their skills. Position Overview We are seeking motivated instructors for after-school group woodwind and brass classes. This role is ideal for musicians who enjoy teaching beginners and creating a rewarding classroom environment. Programs launch on rolling dates between September 1st and October 31st, with exact schedules finalized once student registration closes. Responsibilities & Schedule Teach small group classes (maximum 10 students) organized by instrument. Deliver instruction in 30- to 40-minute blocks. Commit to teaching for around 2 hours after school, starting between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and wrapping up by 5:00 PM on the assigned day of the week. Requirements & Qualifications Proficiency in woodwind and/or brass instruments and the ability to keep beginner lessons engaging. Reliable personal transportation to travel to school sites within the greater Los Angeles area. Ability to clear background checks, TB tests, and other standard school clearances.
