Ability to teach other instruments are a plus but not a must. We are one of LA's largest private music schools and are dedicated to cultivating an exceptional environment for music education. We offer group classes and private lessons. We do all the work so you can teach. Benefits Paid Sick Time Professional development and training Rehearsal space Free music lessons You are paid for all office hours We do all the marketing and promotion to fill your schedule You get paid for all canceled lessons/no-shows We have a friendly, full-time front desk staff to assist parents/students so you can focus on teaching We stock resources (worksheets, tests, sheet music, method books) that you may modify to your students' unique curriculum We are located in an amazing neighborhood within close vicinity to great places to eat and shop W2 employee, Social Security, Medicare, and Paid Sick Time, and Retirement fund Responsibilities Teach private music lessons and group classes to students of all skill levels on-site and off Able to teach on location at TMA and offsite at local schools Monday - Friday available 3pm-8pm. Have a minimum of 2 days available. Saturday -Sunday 9am-2pm available. Have a minimum of one weekend day available. Qualifications Strong musical skills and knowledge of music theory Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outgoing personality with a passion for teaching music Nurturing and supportive approach to teaching 5-10 years teaching experience Experience with kids and adults Experience teaching groups Must have a car Commit to teach current schedule for a minimum of two years. We are looking for teachers who want to teach. If you have frequent gigs and absences, this is not for you.

A positive attitude during instruction:

the ability to encourage and motivate students to work through their weak areas and to build upon their strengths. Should be available to teach 2-3 days a week 3-8pm, including Saturdays from 9am-2pm or Sundays 9am - 2pm.
