QUALIFICATIONS
Appointed by Board of Education. Properly credentialed for the areas of assigned services. Must be able to communicate and establish rapport and good human relations with students, teachers, parents and administrators.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaches courses in subjects in assigned area. Maintains professional competence through participation in inservice education activities provided by district and/or self-selected professional growth activities. Selects and requisitions books and instructional aides. Communicates individual pupil progress to appropriate school personnel and other adults responsible for student welfare.
TYPICAL TASKS
Planning:
Assesses learning needs of individual student in assigned classes. Plans and implements a program which results in individual student progress.
Operation:
Keeps records and submits reports concerning student progress and school property. Maintain proper classroom control and provide a suitable learning environment. Performs adjunct duties assigned by building principal or his designated representative.
Evaluation:
Strives to promote student growth in self-understanding and directs relations with others and realization of potential, academically and socially. Provides individual evaluation and counseling whenever needed by students in the area of course work, personal problems, and career guidance whenever applicable.
SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION
Supervise and assist in the evaluation of assigned staff or instructional aides. Supervision and evaluation from the principal or his designated representative.
WORK YEAR
As adopted by the Board of Education for the Certificated Work Year Calendar.

Valid California Teaching Credential with authorization to teach Music in grades 7-12. Must have authorization to teach English learners. Please submit the following on
