Part-time / Contract The Opportunity We are seeking an energetic and creative Group Music Instructor to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade students in a public school setting. This role is ideal for vocal coaches, music educators, performers, or musicians who enjoy working with children in a fun group environment. This is not a traditional private lesson role — teachers should be comfortable leading group activities, singing games, rhythm exercises, movement activities, and introducing students to different musical instruments and basic music concepts. What You'll Do Teach fun group music classes for Kindergarten through Grade 6 students Lead singing activities, rhythm games, movement exercises, and interactive music lessons Introduce students to basic music concepts such as beat, rhythm, melody, and listening skills Expose students to different instruments and basic musical knowledge Create engaging classroom games that keep students excited about learning music Maintain a fun, positive, and safe classroom environment Help prepare students for small performances or school showcases when needed Requirements Experience in music, singing, vocal coaching, music education, or performance Experience working with children is preferred Ability to lead group classes with energy and confidence Reliable transportation to the South Sacramento / Elder Creek area Ability to pass a standard DOJ/FBI background check (required for school sites) Patient, creative, and passionate about working with young children Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required) Piano or multi-instrument knowledge Classroom teaching experience Choir directing experience Early childhood education experience Note on Timeline We are currently in the final coordination phase with the school site and are interviewing now to build our team for an upcoming launch.Job Type:
