Responsibilities Teach private piano and/or violin lessons to students of various ages and skill levels Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's goals and abilities Create a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment Teach proper technique, music theory, sight-reading, musicianship, and performance skills Prepare students for recitals, examinations, auditions, and competitions when appropriate Collaborate with fellow faculty members on curriculum development and educational initiatives Assist with group classes and school events as needed QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree in Music, Music Education, Performance, or a related field Strong piano and/or violin performance skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for teaching and working with children Reliable transportation and ability to commute to San Mateo Preferred Master's Degree (MM), Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), or PhD in Music Previous private or group teaching experience Experience teaching students of varying ages and levels Familiarity with music examinations, competitions, and performance preparation How to Apply Please submit: Your current resume highlighting your educational background, teaching experience, and performance experience Links to teaching and/or performance videos (if available) Join a school where music education, student growth, and teacher development are valued.
