Music Teacher, part-time Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, a Chesterton Academy is a Catholic classical high school in north metro Denver which exists to be a joyful haven where students grow in wisdom and encounter our Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. We educate students in the Western civilization tradition and the liberal arts and sciences. We are seeking a talented and dynamic part-time Music teacher to join our team starting in the 2026-27 academic year. Join our Catholic classical academy to help introduce students to the sacred and secular musical tradition of Western civilization, teaching 9th - 11th grade music and choir. Students are taught singing and aural skills, musicology, and music history and theory. Choir studies follow an historical timeline: freshman year begins with the ancient and medieval periods. Successive years will see a steady progression through Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary musical periods. For those students who have particular gifts for musical performance, an extracurricular chamber choir and chant schola may be made available. A candidate should possess either a degree in Music or demonstrate extensive experience in the field of music. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academies participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to participate in the spiritual life of the school to the greatest degree possible for a part-time teacher.

Time commitment:

3 or 4 school days per week, 3 - 4 class hours per week.

Salary Range:

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $5000-8000.
