Job Description
Moon Magnet Music School is looking for creative and passionate music teachers to join our team in Denver! We're specifically hiring multi-instrumentalist instructors who can teach teach at least 2 of the instruments listed (piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums). Knowing other instruments or music production is a plus. If you love helping students express themselves musically, we want to hear from you! The drum teacher must have an acoustic drum kit and can teach drums out of their house.

Moon Magnet has been proudly serving the Denver metro area since 2013. Our teachers educate both children and adults, with 80% of our students between ages 6-14 and the remaining 20% adults or preschoolers . Over the past three years, we've worked with over 100 students across 6 states and even in Amsterdam teaching a variety of instruments, as well as songwriting, recording, mixing, & mastering. (note: these additional skills are appreciated, but not required). An experienced teacher or performer in voice, piano, guitar or other instruments Able to teach in-person lessons in Denver, CO 2-3 days per week to teach music lessons to students from 3-8pm Friendly, dependable, and communicative with students and families Comfortable with flexible scheduling and adapting lessons to individual learning styles A teacher actively teaching music to other students, either through their own private clients or another music school If you're confident using Ableton Live then that is great but not requiredNote:
While we love producers, we are currently only hiring candidates who can teach Ableton alongside a primary instrument (voice, piano, or guitar). However, Ableton is not required.Role Overview:

Driving to lessons in students' homes pays $40-$50 per hour Remote lessons over zoom pays $28 per hour (but most of our students are in person). All of our teachers receive about 2 hours of training and monthly 30min check-ins. Training & check-ins pay $20/hr.Location:
All lessons take place in person in students' homes in Denver . No virtual-only positions at this time.Requirements:
Must teach at least one of these instruments: voice, piano, guitar Prior teaching experience preferred Must pass a background check Reliable transportation to student homes or our studio locations The following shows the rates for instructor payments: Driving to lessons in students' homes pays $40-$50 per hour and breaks down to: $40/hr for 1hr in person lessons (technically it's $35 for the lesson and $5 for driving). $44/hr for 45min in person lessons which means you'll be paid $33 since it's 45min, (technically it's $28 for the lesson and $5 for driving). $50/hr for 30min in person lessons which means you'll be paid $25 since it's a half hour, (technically it's $20 for the lesson and $5 for driving). It's rare that opportunities for group lessons arise but when they do they are generally between 5-12 students at a time. The group lesson rate is $100/hr for more than 10 students, $80/hr for 5-10 students. Remote lessons over zoom pay $28 per hour. Most of our students take 30min. This means, for 1hr remote lessons you'll be paid $28 and for 30min remote lessons you'll be paid $14. We almost never get students that are interested in remote lessons. Professional development pays $20/hr and is 30min long. Instructors meet with Reed for 15-30min every month or two for a 1-on-1 check-in. All instructors have the option to meet up once a month together on Zoom for a monthly check-in. Check-ins pay $20/hr and are 30min long. Check-ins build help us provide support, inspirational ideas for lesson plans, & resources where needed. Ready to Apply?
