This position combines private instruction, group teaching, and early childhood music development through our Mini Maestros program. The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching multiple instruments and working with students ranging from toddlers to adults in both private and group settings. We are looking for an energetic educator who can create a fun, structured, and encouraging learning environment while helping students build confidence, creativity, musicianship, and performance skills. At Bluekeys Music School, we believe music education should be inspiring, professional, engaging, and accessible to all ages and backgrounds. Duties Teach private and group music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels. Instruct students in one or multiple instruments including: Piano Voice Guitar Bass Guitar Drums Violin Cello Saxophone Clarinet Flute Upright Bass Conga Music Production Lead engaging early childhood music classes for children ages 2-5 through our Mini Maestros program. Create age-appropriate lesson plans and music activities that encourage creativity, rhythm development, listening skills, movement, and musical exploration. Incorporate singing, movement, rhythm games, storytelling, and interactive activities into lessons for younger students. Prepare students for performances, evaluations, recitals, and musical growth milestones. Maintain positive classroom management and create a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Communicate professionally with parents, students, and staff regarding progress, attendance, and lesson goals. Adapt teaching methods to fit different learning styles, personalities, and developmental levels. Assist with school events, performances, workshops, open houses, and community outreach programs when needed. Maintain organized lesson notes, attendance records, and classroom materials. Requirements Experience teaching music lessons in private, group, school, or studio settings. Ability to teach multiple instruments is highly preferred. Experience working with young children and/or early childhood education is strongly preferred. Strong musicianship, communication, and classroom management skills. Passion for music education and student development. Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons for both children and adults. Comfortable teaching beginners through intermediate-level students. Reliable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Weekend availability is preferred. Degree or certification in Music, Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
