This role requires someone who is both nurturing and effective, particularly with young learners. Candidates applying for this position must be proficient in piano, voice, ukulele, and theatre. Additional instrument experience is welcomed. Responsibilities include teaching at our Stamford studio, with potential Summer Program instruction in New Canaan. Must have Saturday availability. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive music lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into the broader curriculum. Attend performances, recitals, or showcases to support students as they demonstrate their skills. Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning. Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and involvement in music education. Skills Strong background in music education with the ability to teach various instruments or vocal techniques. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; experience in special education or childcare is a plus. Skills in curriculum development to create engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
