Responsibilities Design engaging and age-appropriate music lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student needs Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate various learning technologies and innovative teaching methods Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize coursework, track student progress, and communicate with students and parents effectively Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring inclusive learning environments Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere Assess student performance through regular evaluations, standardized testing, and formative assessments to monitor growth and identify areas for improvement Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, integrating literacy education, math concepts, and other interdisciplinary approaches into music instruction Provide tutoring or additional support sessions for students requiring extra help in music or related academic areas Incorporate childhood development principles to enhance learning experiences and promote social-emotional growth Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student attendance, progress reports, and behavioral notes in accordance with school policies Experience Prior classroom experience teaching music at the elementary, middle, or high school level is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored to diverse student populations and learning styles Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is advantageous Familiarity with classroom management strategies that foster a respectful and productive learning environment Knowledge of LMS platforms for lesson planning, grading, and communication purposes Background in literacy education, math integration within music instruction, or Montessori/Private school experience is a plus Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues collaboratively Join us as a Part-Time Music Teacher to ignite students' passion for music while developing their academic and social skills.
