Woodwinds Teacher - Tenleytown, DC Ensemble Performing Arts - 5.0 Washington, DC Job Details Part-time $40 - $44 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Teaching Full Job Description About the Position Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional woodwinds teacher to teach part-time at Middle C Music , our Washington DC location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON and are able to teach any combination of flute, clarinet, and alto/tenor saxophone . Experience working with younger kids would be beneficial. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability, ideally two or more of the following days: Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday . Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, music education, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and education and will be in the range of $40-44/hour. Health benefits options and a 401K with employer match are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble after 30 days of employment. About Ensemble Schools Ensemble Schools is a partnership of community-driven music & dance schools that maintain individual identities but share resources to ensure their mutual success. This posting is for Middle C Music , a community music school and retail store that serves and promotes Washington musicians of all ages and skills. We are the only full-service music store operating in the District of Columbia. Our teachers specialize in a variety musical styles and instruments and help students chart a path to successfully learning an instrument or growing singing ability. We offer music lessons on Guitar, Drums, Violin, Voice, Piano, Ukulele, Woodwinds and Brass Instruments all in one location for students of all ages.
