This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and can bring music to life through movement, rhythm, and play. The music teacher will lead weekly music classes and play an important role in planning and directing school performances.
Start Date:
August 2026 (with potential summer opportunities available) Duties Lead developmentally appropriate music classes for students ages 2-6 Incorporate singing, movement, instruments, and creative expression Foster a joyful and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff Work closely with the Kindergarten Teacher to plan, produce, and direct the Christmas program and End of year program Assist with rehearsals and performances (hours may increase leading up to programs) Schedule Typically 2 days per week (8:30 - 2:00) Additional hours available during performance preparation periods Opportunity for summer work if interested Qualifications Experience working with young children (ages 2-6 preferred) Background in music, music education, or related field Ability to lead engaging, age-appropriate activities Strong classroom presence and positive communication skills Organized, reliable, and collaborative Requirements DCF 45-hour training completed (required) Must meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff Background screening and fingerprinting (per state guidelines)

$40.00 per hour
