Bachelor of Music Education Full Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Music or Education or Elementary. Holds a Florida Professional Educator License (Teaching Certificate) with appropriate endorsement(s) or holds a Teaching Certificate from another state and applying in Florida. Have a faith background. Have understanding and experience with preschool and elementary age students. Display strong communication skills (written and oral). Be enthusiastic and energetic and have full command of the appreciation for all of the Arts. Able to plan for and run a children's and a youth church choir. The daily school schedule will be flexed to accommodate for the late choir evening. Choir will perform every month in church Attendance/Punctual to workJob Summary:
Under the direction of the Head of School and the Pastor of the Church, the Teacher will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students in music class, as well as teach a children's choir after school. The work week will be flexed in order to accommodate the church choirs.Essential Job Skills:
The successful candidate will be able to perform the following duties, and others not listed, in a timely manner: Supervise students in a variety of school settings Teach content and skills utilizing the the Florida Performance Standards Teach music to PK3 - 5th grade students Display the ability and willingness to integrate music and music appreciation into all aspects of the core subject areas Modify instructional plans and materials to meet individual student needs based on the analysis of data Evaluate and assess student progress against instructional objectives Maintain accurate, efficient, and effective records for instructional and non-instructional purposes Teach WIN (What I Need) classes daily as per Head of School Attend and participates in staff meetings Demonstrate knowledge of educational research, trends and best practices Be a reflective practitioner Be a reliable encouraging communicator with students, parents and staff Be a positive role model Be a team player Other duties as assignedAbout Miami Shores Presbyterian Church School:
