Job Description
Elementary Music Teacher — Part-Time Nieves Music Studio — Ocala, FL $25/hour | Part-time | In person Nieves Music Studio is hiring a part-time Elementary Music Teacher to lead structured, hands-on music classes for preschool and elementary-age students. This is a music teaching position , not a childcare-only role. Classes may include singing, rhythm activities, movement, listening, beginner music theory, introductory music reading, and hands-on instrument activities using tools such as Orff instruments, piano, guitar, ukulele, percussion, and classroom instruments. Applicants should be confident leading an active group music class where students are participating, moving, playing, listening, and learning real musical skills. Required Qualifications Applicants must have both music ability and group leadership experience. Ability to play at least one classroom-friendly instrument, such as piano, guitar, or ukulele Comfortable reading and teaching beginner music concepts, including treble clef, bass clef, rhythm, and basic notation Comfortable using instruments such as Orff instruments, percussion, or classroom instruments in a group setting Experience leading children in a structured environment, such as a classroom, music class, children's choir, camp, church program, or similar setting Strong classroom presence, positive behavior management, and clear communication Warm, energetic, organized, and reliable Helpful, But Not Required Experience or interest in: Elementary music Early childhood music Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, Music Together, Kindermusik, or similar approaches Beginner group piano, guitar, or ukulele Toddler music classes Camps, workshops, or private lessons About the Role Our classes are designed to be fun, structured, and musically meaningful. We want students to feel safe, encouraged, and excited to come back each week while building real musical foundations.
