Job Description

Position Overview:
Pluris Academy is seeking a passionate and creative Specials (Electives) Teacher to work with students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 . The ideal candidate will foster creativity, self-expression, and foundational artistic skills in a developmentally appropriate and engaging manner. This position is available for this Fall and may be part-time or full-time, depending on candidate availability. Pluris Academy is a small, entrepreneurship-focused school that values innovation, collaboration, and whole-child development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate art, music, language, or PE instruction aligned with K-2 developmental standards Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment Integrate creativity, problem-solving, and exploration into lessons Prepare materials and manage art supplies responsibly Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership Display student work and contribute to school events as appropriate
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred), PE, Spanish (any language), Theater, or Music Teaching certification (preferred but not required for teaching artists or part-time candidates) Experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students, middle and high school. Strong classroom management and communication skills Passion for working with young learners
