Middle School Band/Chorus Responsibilities:

Teach several music courses for middle school students including band, jazz band, guitar, and acting-musical theater. Assist with extracurricular activities such as serving as the musical director of a middle school drumline. Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after school music clubs. Ensure proper care, maintenance, and responsible use of musical instruments, equipment, and technology. Build strong relationships through clear and consistent communication with families, students, and colleagues, including timely updates on student progress and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication Participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and remain current with trends in the field.

Middle School Band/Chorus Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in music or related field. Master's degree preferred. At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience required. Knowledge of musical techniques, history, and genres. Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning. Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. U.S. Work Authorization required.
