School of Rock is a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education. With over 350 schools, and a strong internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after-school music education provider in the world. We put on shows to teach music! As a Music Instructor you will be responsible for all music education-related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Music Instructor positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helpsg our students learn music and life skills.
Music Instruction:
Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method™ Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching
Method, Books and Method App Customer Connection:
Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of lesson facilities school
Skill Requirements:
2 + years experience teaching and/or performing music professionally Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design Strong customer relations skills. Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers Strong organizational skills Resourceful; good problem-solver Works well under pressure Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor Passion for teaching
