Stand Out School of Music is a vibrant and growing music school located in South Tampa, dedicated to inspiring students through high-quality music education. Our mission is to create an engaging, supportive environment where students build confidence, develop their musical abilities, and discover the joy of learning music. We offer private lessons, group classes, after-school enrichment programs, and seasonal music camps for students ages 3 and up. Our teachers are passionate educators who believe music can positively shape a child's creativity, confidence, and discipline.Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Private Guitar Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is a passionate musician who enjoys working with children and helping students grow both musically and personally. This role is ideal for a teacher who is comfortable teaching beginner through intermediate guitar students, building strong fundamentals while also helping advancing students develop technique, musicality, and confidence. Our teachers are supported by an organized administrative team and a collaborative environment as our school continues to grow.Key Responsibilities:
Teach private guitar lessons to students ages 4-18 (and occasionally adults) Prepare students for recitals, performances, and special events Adapt teaching style to suit a variety of learning styles and skill levels Communicate effectively with parents and staff Maintain accurate student attendance and progress notes Create lesson plans tailored to each student's goals and abilities Encourage musical confidence, creativity, and strong foundational technique Contribute to a positive and encouraging learning environment within the schoolRequirements:
Proficient in guitar pedagogy Prior teaching experience preferred (especially with young beginners) Ability to create a positive, engaging, and fun learning environment Reliable transportation and strong punctuality Must pass a background check Ability to teach both beginner and intermediate-level students Professional, reliable, and personable Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required): Ability to teach another instrument (especially piano or ukulele) Experience with group classes or music camps Familiarity with both classical and contemporary/pop/rock repertoire Music degree or formal training in music performance or education Why Work With Us?
