Job Description
The Preschool at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church is seeking a warm, energetic and engaging Early Childhood Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year beginning in August 2026. This position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., with opportunities to extend hours before and/or after school for full-time employment. Benefits are available for full-time employees. Developmentally appropriate instruments and classroom props are provided. Professional development and instructional materials using an evidence-based early childhood music curriculum are also provided. Position Responsibilities Teach developmentally appropriate music classes during the school day Plan and lead music instruction for multiple age levels (1-6 years old) Lead music during weekly chapel services Prepare students for and participate in annual age-level performances Assist with daily carpool duties Required Skills Excellent classroom management skills Strong vocal ability and confident leadership presence Ability to actively engage young children through music and movement Collaborative, dependable, and enthusiastic team member Preferred Qualifications Degree in Music or Music Education Prior experience teaching music to young children Ability to play piano and/or guitar
