The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and experience working with students of various ages and skill levels. This role involves teaching guitar techniques, music theory, and fostering a love for music in students. The Guitar Instructor will play a crucial role in creating an engaging learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels. Instruct students in various guitar techniques, including strumming, fingerpicking, and music theory. Engage with students to encourage their musical growth and confidence through regular feedback and assessments. Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and areas for improvement. Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs or varying learning styles. Requirements Proven experience as a guitar instructor or in a similar teaching role, particularly with children or young adults. Strong knowledge of music theory and guitar techniques. Experience working with students in educational settings, including preschool or childcare environments is preferred. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment. A passion for educating others and fostering a love for music among students.
