Full Time Tenure Track Vocal Music Instructor

Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi, developing lectures, leading rehearsals and performances, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; developing and executing appropriate methods of evaluating students' performance; developing, securing, and maintaining the instructional materials essential to classroom teaching. In addition to instructional duties, this role involves student recruitment through targeted marketing efforts and direct engagement with local area schools. Master of Music degree or Master of Arts in Music degree is required, Doctorate in music degree is desired. Experience in vocal instruction is required. Experience directing vocal or choral ensembles is required. Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Preferred experience includes:

Teaching experience across at least two of the following disciplines: vocal instruction, music theory, music technology, recording techniques, choir and/or jazz choir, and songwriting. Proven experience in student recruitment and outreach. Administrative experience within an educational setting.
