Job Description

Instrumental Music Teacher - Grades 4-6 Must have Illinois Professional Educator License Must have Music Endorsement for grade Instrumental Teaching Skills preferred (Woodwinds and Percussion) Experience teaching beginner instrumental students 2026-27
School Year Performance Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will exhibit the ability to collaborate with a team of instrumental teachers to deliver woodwind, brass and percussion instrument education to 4 th - 6 th grade students. Duties will include directing 6 th Grade Band, working with students in one-on-one settings, sectional and full ensemble settings, monitoring and assessing student musical growth, and creating effective communication with students and parents. The successful candidate will be able to build positive and collaborative relationships with fellow music teachers and a positive and energetic rapport with students.
