Full Job Description Description:

The Technology Teacher supports students in 5K-8th grade in developing digital literacy and technology skills in alignment with Catholic values. This role includes teaching technology-based lessons, integrating digital tools into the curriculum and maintaining the school's educational technology resources. The teacher fosters a safe, respectful, and faith-centered learning environment while promoting responsible and ethical use of technology.

Requirements:

Teaching Responsibilities Design and teach developmentally appropriate technology lessons aligned with ISTE Standards and Catholic values. Foster digital literacy, including keyboarding, research, coding, multimedia creation, and responsible digital citizenship. Support safe and ethical technology use in accordance with the school's Acceptable Use Policy. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in school-wide assessments and events. Stay current with emerging educational technologies and best practices. Uphold and model the Catholic mission and identity of the school in all professional activities. Requirements Religious Qualifications Active, practicing Roman Catholic Respects and understands a Catholic school philosophy Professional Qualifications Experience teaching educational technology or working with students in grades 5K-8. Proficiency in educational technology tools (e.g., Google Workspace, iPads, Chromebooks, coding platforms, LMS systems). Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

To successfully meet the needs of the students in his/her care, the teacher must: Spend the majority of the day standing in the classroom. While standing the teacher will frequently hold objects they are working with or demonstrating Sit on an occasional basis when developing lesson plans, grading, etc. Walk through the classroom and be able to maneuver in tight spaces between desks. Walk on both even and uneven surfaces Deal with students while kneeling or squatting, stooping, or bending Reach at, below, or above shoulder height with the dominant upper extremity; may require trunk or neck rotation to look back at the class Assist in moving children's desks and chairs to change the layout of the classroom to influence the learning situation. It is occasionally necessary to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 pounds from the office to classrooms
