Elementary Music Teacher

Wood Memorial Primary School and Wood Memorial Intermediate School is seeking an elementary music teacher responsible for delivering a comprehensive music program that fosters students' creativity, music skills, and appreciation for music. The teacher will provide engaging instruction aligned with state standards while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Responsibilities Plan and implement standards-based music instruction for students in grades K-5 Incorporate singing, movement, instruments, and music technology into lessons Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Organize and direct two music programs per school year Maintain and manage music classroom materials, instruments, and equipment Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with the arts team members to organize schedules and maximize program effectiveness Skills and Competencies Passion for music education Strong communication and interpersonal skills Creativity and flexibility in instructional practices Proficiency with instructional technology and music software Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or related field Valid state teaching degree/certification Experience teaching in an elementary setting preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to play and/or accompany on piano or other instruments preferred
