Voice Instructor Description:

Jesse Stiglich Music School (JSMS) is a vibrant and growingmunity music school looking to hire a private Voice Instructor for our Hanover location starting May 2026 on Tuesday afternoons and evenings. T is an immediate need for the ideal candidate to take over a full day of students on Tuesdays from roughly 3PM - 8PM, with voice students ranging from late elementary school - high school. Additionally, t will be room to grow your schedule as the school continues to grow over the Summer and into the Fall. The ideal candidate will be one who is a well-rounded musician, enthusiastic,anized, passionate and can draw on their own experiences during lessons. At JSMS, we believe that faculty should always meet the student w they are at while helping them explore their own interests, having them feel wee, and teaching them the fundamentals of music. Additionally, t are also opportunities to work with ensembles and group classes, however that is not a necessity if applicants feel they are better suited to stick with private teaching only. JSMS handles all scheduling and administrative duties so that our teachers cane in and focus only on their students and teaching without the hassle of juggling administrative responsibilities. The only time JSMS includes the teacher in administrative duties is if the teacher has to reschedule lessons due to a conflict.

Responsibilities include:

• Teach private lessons to all ages as young as 5, and possibly including adults.
• Develop effective lesson plans for in-person lessons.
• Motivate student growth and music-making, and track student progress.
• Effectivelymunicate with students, their families, and other faculty.
• Effectivelymunicate with JSMS administrative personnel for any schedule conflicts or issues.
• Actively participate and encourage students to partake in JSMS events such as Recitals, Workshops, Community Performances, Summer Camps, etc.

Pay:

based on experience $40 - $44 per hour for Private Lessons $50 - $55 per hour for Group Lessons

• Raises offered periodically based on teacher longevity and involvement at JSMS

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Music required or applicant is currently enrolled in a Music / Fine Arts program at the college/university level, or a minimum of 5+ years experience teaching music.
