Sep 8, 2026 Job Description Mount Alvernia Academy, a Catholic Franciscan co-ed school, educating children from preschool through grade 6, is seeking a highly energetic and enthusiastic Preschool through Grade 6 music teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will have experience teaching singing, chorus, music literacy, song games, and music and movement activities. The music teacher will be responsible for teaching new and traditional songs to students, integrating music into school-wide events, including liturgies, and collaborating with staff to support, manage, and optimize the use of music in the classroom. In addition, the candidate will have successful experience in working on theatrical productions, teaching/working with young people, managing multiple priorities, and working well both independently and collaboratively. Preference is given to candidates with piano and/or guitar accompanying ability or experience on another accompaniment instrument.
