Creativity and innovation are a plus, encouraging students to be engaged and involved in their learning experience. We are a parochial school with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. All teaching positions are ministerial positions that are required to perform important religious functions. These functions include but are not limited to incorporating the Christian faith into all aspects of the Employee's job duties. The employee may be called upon to lead and/or otherwise participate in Christian devotions, prayer, and/or Chapel services at various times throughout the school year. Candidates are not required to be Lutheran, but are expected to be a member and regular worshipper at a Christian church.

Job Summary:

A teacher will prayerfully help students gain the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and attitudes that will contribute to their development as mature and responsible Christian citizens. He/she exemplifies the qualities of a strong Christian character, both on and off the job. The position involves the direction of a beginning and advanced band (which meet after school, each meeting one day per week), giving one on one private instrument lessons during the school day, and teaching some music/music appreciation classes to various grade levels. There are multiple concerts/performances during the school year. Which specific days are scheduled may be able to be adapted based upon the candidate's availability, but the position is three days per week, 24 on-site hours per week total. The selected candidate will provide instruction according to the approved curriculum and may serve as a lunch/recess attendant.

Qualifications:

Is a member in good standing of a Christian church. Has a BA or BS or above from an accredited institution. Has the ability to effectively communicate with students and differentiate instruction. Has a humble, teachable spirit and willingness to respect and abide by administrative authority. Has a heart and calling to educational ministry and love for serving the children placed under our care.
