Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and student needs. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate singing, instrument playing, movement, and listening activities to enhance musical understanding. Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning and artistic expression. Adapt teaching strategies to support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning differences, ensuring all students can participate fully. Foster early childhood development through age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth within the context of music education. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school events such as concerts or performances to showcase student talents. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, upcoming events, and classroom expectations. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching music in a school setting. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special education needs or working with individuals with autism. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
