Job Description

Responsible for teaching private music lessons for students ages 7 - adult at the Plymouth Community Center. Coordination and scheduling of lessons provided by program supervisor, with focus on piano and guitar lessons. This is a year-round, part-time position that includes evening and weekend hours (based on instructor availability). Average weekly hours vary, approximately 4 - 10 hours per week. Music lessons are weekly, with four sessions that take place approximately 6 weeks - 12 weeks, following the school calendar. Instruct participants during weekly 30-minute private lessons. Create lesson plans for each student to help them progress during the program. Work with program supervisor to schedule music lessons. Participate in program recital for the spring and fall sessions. 21 years of age or older At least 2 years' experience teaching music lessons Music education or similar degree preferred Good organizational skills/communication skills
