Piano Instructor

Job Summary Lumiere Piano Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and creative Piano Instructor to join our growing team. We are looking for an educator who inspires students of all ages to develop confidence, artistry, and a lifelong appreciation for music through thoughtful and engaging instruction. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong musicianship, professionalism, and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for beginners through advanced students. This position may include both in-studio and in-home lessons depending on student placement and scheduling needs. Responsibilities Teach engaging private piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels Develop individualized lesson plans and curriculum tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and musical development Instruct students in piano technique, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, and musical expression Foster a respectful, encouraging, and motivating learning environment Provide additional academic or musical support when needed to reinforce student progress Prepare students for recitals, performances, examinations, and other musical events Maintain lesson notes, attendance records, and consistent communication with families Travel to students' homes when assigned for in-home instruction opportunities Collaborate professionally with academy leadership and contribute positively to the studio community Qualifications Previous piano teaching experience required Experience working with early childhood and preschool-aged students preferred Strong piano performance and musicianship background Ability to teach students of varying ages and learning styles Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills Familiarity with curriculum development and student-centered teaching approaches Ability to create an engaging, structured, and enjoyable learning experience Experience in additional creative disciplines such as theater, dance, visual arts, sewing, or culinary arts is a plus Experience working with diverse learners or students with special educational needs is appreciated Compensation & Schedule Part-time position Expected hours: 10-20 hours per week, with opportunity for growth based on student enrollment

Compensation:

$38-60 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and assigned teaching load Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend availability preferred.
