JOB GOAL

To assist students in learning the appropriate subject matter, skills, and/or attitudes that will contribute to their development as responsible citizens. The West Platte School District, located in Weston, Missouri, is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as our Vocal Music Teacher for the 2026-27 school year and beyond.

Courses to be taught:

High School (9-12) and Middle School (6-8) Choir and flexible music elective offerings. The successful candidate will choose and implement appropriate methodology; apply varied instructional strategies that address the diversity of the learners; provide continuous feedback to students and families; communicate appropriately with students, parents, community and staff; use various ongoing assessments to monitor the effectiveness of instruction; align the assessments with the goals, objectives and instructional strategies of the district, implement Missouri Learning Standards, and effectively utilize instructional technology.
