Job Description

Company Overview Mallard Creek STEM Academy is a public charter school serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Music Teacher to join our dynamic elementary team. In this role, you will inspire students through engaging music lessons, nurture their artistic talents, and promote a positive classroom atmosphere. Your enthusiasm for music and education will help cultivate a love for the arts among our young learners while supporting their overall development. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to students in grades k-5 Plan and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate singing, instrument playing, rhythm exercises, and musical theory Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment Foster creativity through activities such as singing, dancing, theater, and musical storytelling Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into cross-disciplinary projects and school events Support students' emotional and social growth through music-based activities and performance opportunities Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents Requirements Proven experience in teaching music or working with children in educational settings Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques Experience with behavior management strategies and childhood development principles Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate young learners
Pay:
$50,251.91 - $69,978.96 per year
