Private Music Teacher

About Us:

Sounds of Harmony, LLC is a locally-founded music studio based in New Jersey, serving families in Ocean, Mercer, Bergen County, and beyond. We offer both in-person and remote music lessons, music therapy, group classes for young children, and birthday parties. Our private, in-home, and virtual lessons cover a variety of instruments for both children and adults, with performance opportunities throughout the year. Our inclusive lessons can be tailored to fit each individual's unique needs.

Position Overview:

Sounds of Harmony, LLC is seeking passionate and talented music teachers who share our vision of inclusive and engaging music education. As a Music Teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students of all ages, particularly small children, in group settings and during birthday parties, as well as through private lessons. Experience working with young children is essential. Join our team and help shape the musical journeys of our students while creating joyful and memorable experiences!

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized music lessons that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student. Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression. Help students develop fundamental skills, techniques, and a deep understanding of music theory. Encourage students to perform and share their music, building their confidence and stage presence. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Prepare students for performances, auditions, and music examinations, when applicable. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.

Requirements:

A strong passion for music education and a commitment to our mission. Proficiency in your respective instrument Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to students' homes for lessons.
