Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to our diversity, equity, and inclusion mission: Cultivating a community where all members experience a sense of belonging. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and innovative music lesson plans that align with NYS State standards and District curriculum, considering the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students; Develop a lesson schedule and teach small group lessons to beginning and continuing instrumental string students; Responsible for rehearsing elementary level school orchestras; Maintain the string instrument inventory; Create a welcoming classroom environment where every student feels respected and supported; Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and backgrounds; Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success and well-being; and Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills.
Salary Range:
$52,100 - $116,209 (Master's Steps 1-22); $47,072 - $99,337 (Bachelor's Steps 1-22) Job Qualifications Candidates must possess NYSED certification in
