Music Teacher - J-ROCK Philadelphia, PA Job Details Temporary | Full-time | Internship $750 - $850 a week 17 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Music Teaching music Classroom management Curriculum development Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) Working with children Bachelor's degree Working with students Organizational skills Teaching Bachelor of Music Education Full Job Description The Summer Program Music Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering engaging and educational music programs for campers of various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, passionate about music and teching children. This candidate is able to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate. music lessons, focusing on music theory, instrumental/vocal techniques, and performance skills. Teach a variety of musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo. Lead group activities, such as singing, playing instruments and participating in musical games. Provide individual instruction and feedback to campers.
Rehearsals and Performances:
Conduct rehearsals for musical performances, ensuring campers are well prepared. Organize and participate in camp-wide musical events and performances Curriculum Development Contribute to the development and implementation of the camp's music curriculum. Stay up-to-date on current music trends and best practices. Camper Supervision Supervise campers during music activities and ensure a safe and positive environment. Assist with other camper activities as needed.
Communication:
Maintain open communication with camp staff, parents, and campers. Provide regular feedback on camper progress and musical development.
Qualifications:
Education :
Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Experience teaching music to children or youth, preferably in a camp setting.
Skills:
Proficiency in one or more musical instruments. Strong musical knowledge and skills, including music theory and performance techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to create a fun, engaging and supportive learning environment. Patience, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Other:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred :
Experience with various musical genres and styles
