In this role, the teacher will introduce students to a diverse world of musical concepts, history, and performance. Anticipated Assignment -
Cleveland Hill Middle School Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the NYS Learning Standards in Music. Teach a balanced music curriculum encompassing artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural and historical context to deepen understanding Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Student and Classroom Culture:
Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for student behavior and academic growth. Employ positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to foster a positive learning environment.
Team Collaboration & Parent Engagement:
Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education teachers, and ENL teachers to support all learners (including IEP, 504, and ELL students). Maintain regular, proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
