[Position Available for Hire ] Part-time Music Therapist & Piano Instructor This position requires a minimum commitment until June 30, 2027, following a school-year-based employment model, and offers annual options for contract renewal.
Salary & Benefits Competitive Pay:
$42-$50 per clinical hour for in-studio, back-to-back sessions
Optional Outreach Work:
Starting at $60-$70 per hour; morning opportunities available Paid Time for
Non-Contact Work:
Includes documentation, prep, supervision, and training
Additional Office Hour Pay:
One paid ($20) office hour per workday will be automatically added ! This can can be used for admin, prep, or professional development (on-site or remote, at your preference). 5-7

Professional Development Support:
Workshops, observation, clinical training (e.g., clinical improvisation, Nordoff-Robbins approach, songwriting, ethics etc)

CBMT/AMTA/CMTE
Reimbursements Additional Benefits for Full-Time Employees includes Monthly health insurance reimbursement, or Up to 7 weeks of paid time off ($500/week, up to $3,500/year) Milestone bonus (at the third-year milestone) Paid-time off (eligible after 1 year of employment) •Eligibility criteria apply to some benefits. Your Role As a Music Therapist/Instructor, you will: Conduct individual music therapy sessions and adaptive music lessons Teach individual and semi-private music lessons, primarily to children aged 3.5 -12 Develop and implement individualized treatment and lesson plans Provide engaging instruction mainly in piano Maintain clear and timely documentation Communicate effectively with students, families, and team members Contribute to a structured, caring clinical environment Work Schedule Part-Time (10+ hours/week)
Weekdays:
2:00 PM-7:30
PM, Saturdays:
1:00 PM-6:30 PM (Morning hours may be available upon request) Saturday availability preferred; flexibility to build caseload in summer Minimum commitment through June 30, 2027 Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy (prospective grads welcome) MT-BC or eligibility (Must be an MT-BC within 90 days of hire) 1+ year experience with young children with special needs Piano proficiency Strong communication in English (spoken & written) Commitment through June 30, 2027 Legal U.S. work authorization at least through that date Highly Preferred 1+ year experience teaching piano or adaptive lessons Strong piano skills (a plus!) Familiar with music-centered approach Who You Are Professional, empathetic, collaborative Eager to grow and musically expressive Hiring and Onboarding Timeline Now- June 10: Accepting applications May 15- June 15:

Mid-June:
Initial training begins (length and schedule will be customized based on your experience and availability). Training should be completed by late June or early July.
July-August:
You will begin working independently, with a gradual caseload build-up supported by supervision and additional training as needed.
September:
