Starting September 2026 until end of academic year Are you a passionate Music Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to share your love of music with young people? Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Newport area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher for a full academic year position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community where creativity is valued, student achievement is celebrated, and staff are encouraged to bring energy and innovation into the classroom. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop their musical knowledge, practical skills, and confidence through engaging and inclusive lessons. ⭐ The Role As a Music Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 Inspire students to develop their performance, composition, and listening skills Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity Assess, monitor, and support student progress Contribute to extracurricular music activities, performances, and school events where appropriate The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Has experience teaching Music at secondary school level Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education Can engage and motivate students of varying abilities Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills Is committed to supporting students both academically and personally Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers. ✅ Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need: Qualified Teacher Status Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Two professional references covering the last 24 months Right to work in the UK Teaching Personnel can support successful applicants with obtaining the necessary compliance documentation.
