SUMMARY :

We are searching for a passionate, innovative music teacher that will use singing, movement, instruments, and music theory/history through their instruction. The primary goal of the Middle School 5-8 Music teacher is to inspire the love of music and integrate movement into the curriculum.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include, but are not limited to: The Middle School Music teacher will provide music instruction to students in grades 5-8. The Middle School Music will demonstrate effective planning, teaching and organization, and maintain a positive classroom environment. The Middle School Music Teacher will introduce students to multiple music genres as well as global music/movement. Collaboration with other related arts teachers and classroom teachers is a vital part of this role. The Middle School Music Teacher will stay knowledgeable on current research, curriculum and pedagogy related to Middle School music instruction. Responsibilities also include monitoring student growth and completing report cards at the end of each quarter. In addition to teaching and classroom support responsibilities, the Middle School Music Teacher will assist in school performances and will perform other duties as requested by administration, including lunch and arrival/dismissal duty.
