Do not apply unless you can answer YES to the following questions: 1. Do you have a music degree, or are you currently working on one? 2. Are you a multi-instrumentalist? Specifically, can you play a little guitar, bass, drums, piano, plus sing a little? 3. Do you have gigging experience? 4. Do you enjoy working with children? 5. Responsibilities:
Instructing students in various music styles, particularly pop music, plus fundamentals on each of the previously mentioned instrument. Setting goals and creating musical materials that meet the needs of each student. Helping students develop their skills in playing multiple instruments and singing. Organizing bands, leading rehearsals, and assisting with student performances. Communicating with parents and students regarding lesson progress and performance opportunities. Providing feedback to students and guiding them towards improvement. Maintaining a clean and organized studio space.
Requirements:
A music degree (or close to completing one). Ability to play piano, guitar, bass, drums, each while singing casually. It's okay if you are weak on one or two, but ideally you can play them all! The ability to read music on at least one instrument is a required skill. Gigging experience is a must. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with a diverse group of students and staff. Passionate and energetic about teaching and playing music.
