Part-Time After-School Music Instructors Lowell School - 4.6 Alexandria, VA Job Details Part-time | Seasonal $60 - $90 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Teamwork Personal service experience with children Teaching experience with students with various learning styles Working with students Elementary school teaching Full Job Description Lowell School is seeking engaging Various Instrumental Music Instructors to teach students in grades K-8, starting in September. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education and expertise in both cello performance and instruction. This role includes close collaboration with the Director of After-School Music and is anticipated to start at one day per week.
Qualifications:
1-2+ years of music teaching experience Positive and friendly attitude Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children
Major Responsibilities:
Selecting an age-appropriate repertoire Preparing students for performances Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired. Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students Maintain complete and accurate records for attendance Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.
