Job Description
Overview The Music Loft is a multi award winning music school in Northern VA and we are seeking passionate and dynamic Guitar, Piano, and Violin teachers to join our staff. This exciting role offers the opportunity to inspire students of all ages, from children to adult enthusiasts, fostering a love for music and developing their technical skills. Your expertise will help students unlock their musical potential in a supportive studio environment. The Music Loft offers the following programs for our students; private lessons for children, adult private lessons, The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program, ensemble opportunities and multiple recitals and community performances throughout the year. Responsibilities Design and deliver comprehensive music lessons tailored to individual student needs and skill levels for guitar, piano, and violin Develop curriculum content that incorporates technical skills, music theory, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance techniques Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure a positive and focused learning atmosphere Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students and track their progress over time Prepare students for recitals, exams, competitions, or performances by guiding practice routines and stage presence Maintain accurate records of attendance by using our scheduling system. Qualifications Proven experience teaching guitar, piano, or violin across various age groups including children and adults Degree in Music Education or Performance is preferred. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different skill levels Excellent personal/professional management skills Love for teaching music Join us in shaping the next generation of musicians!
