  • Guitar Instructor Position (Immediate Need) Immediate position available for qualified guitar/bass/ukulele instructor to move into a long-term subbing position with option to continue on permanent basis based on room availability.
Depending on availability of candidates, we may hire 1-2 people to fill this role.
Days:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Weekday hours range from early afternoon to late evening. Weekends range from 10am-6pm. Current instructor will be out several weeks to months and we are looking for 1-2 people to cover and begin building own schedules as well. Qualifications Prior teaching experience preferred Strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Friendly and confident working with children and adults Strong organizational skills Ability to work early afternoon-late evenings, and/or weekends
Additional Teaching Opportunities:
Moore Brothers Music is seeking reliable and enthusiastic music instructors for recurring schedules as available, and/or to sub for instructors who may be out for short or long durations. We are a long-established community music school and retail store serving hundreds of students each week. We are looking for team members who enjoy working with students, supporting families, and being part of a positive, professional music environment. Preferred Instruments We are especially interested in instructors for: Piano Guitar Voice Percussion / Drums (Subbing w/potential to pick up days) Violin / Viola / Cello / Upright Bass (High Need) Woodwinds Brass (Trumpet/Trombone) (Multi-instrument instructors are strongly encouraged to apply.) Positions are well suited for music majors, performers, educators, retirees, and experienced teachers seeking consistent work and the opportunity to grow their student base. Teaching Responsibilities Teach private music lessons in your primary and secondary instrument(s) Greet students, parents, and customers in a friendly, professional manner Build positive relationships with students and families Prepare weekly lesson materials Track student attendance and progress Substitute for other instructors as needed Maintain room organization and cleanliness Assist in keeping store clean and organized Assist in student recitals Schedule We are open and teach every day with typical teaching schedules ranging as follows:
Weekends:
10am-6pm
Weekdays:
early afternoon
  • 9pm If rooms are available, we ask teachers to take on a minimum of two teaching days to allow students easier ability to reschedule or change schedules staying consistent with their regular teacher as much as possible.
Qualifications Prior teaching experience preferred Strong communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Friendly and confident working with children and adults Strong organizational skills Ability to work early afternoon-late evenings, and/or weekends Compensation Teaching pay: begins at $37 per hour and increases based on instrument taught, education, and experience Front desk pay: $20
