Terms/Schedule 188 contract days, 40 hrs/week Appointment Type Full Time Description Pulaski High School is seeking one full-time Instrumental Music Teacher who is committed to creating collaborative learning environments and supporting innovative instructional practices. Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to music education, student performance opportunities, and collaboration with colleagues to strengthen music programming and student learning. A valid Wisconsin Instrumental Music license (1506 - Instrumental Music) is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching AP Music Theory or a willingness to complete AP Music Theory training and support the continued growth of advanced music opportunities for students. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in brass instruction and performance. Qualifications:
A current teaching license Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities The ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Current First Aid/CPR certified or must obtain Demonstrated ability to: work collaboratively carry out emergency/crisis response procedures perform all computer technology tasks associated with the position maintain confidentiality communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, patrons Commitment to the Pulaski Board of Education Educational Philosophy Demonstrated skills in positive human relations and cultural competence Demonstrated skills in problem solving and conflict management

Reports To:
Principal of the assigned building Candidates must be able to do the following: commit to the philosophy and goals of the Pulaski Community School District and Pulaski High School; engage students using a variety of practices and strategies, providing scaffolds for those who need extra support when working with more challenging content; demonstrate skills in problem-solving and conflict management; demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to work effectively with groups and individuals; work with other department members in implementing a curriculum in the best interests of the students; work collaboratively inside a team structure; maintain confidentiality; communicate positively/effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration; utilize both formative and summative assessments to assess learning, adjust instruction, and provide students with feedback in a timely manner; demonstrate skills in positive human relations and cultural competence; and willingly learn from the experiences within a Professional Learning Community.
