The aide will be responsible for integrating the mission of St. John's Catholic School and the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend in assisting the teacher with all planning, teaching, grading, and in all school duties for the betterment of our students.

Job Responsibilities:

Models and teaches Catholic doctrine, values, and morals. Works cooperatively with administrators, faculty, students and parents to form a faith community in the school and parish. Assigns and works with student activities to promote student learning. Supervises students within the school with clear direction from teacher. Consistently enforces the school's discipline policies. Commits to ongoing faith formation and professional growth. Performs other work related duties as assigned by PreK teacher. Participates in diocesan and school improvement goals including professional development. Fosters the spiritual development of students. Performs assigned duties by PreK teacher when needed for the supervision of students before, during or after school including lunch duties, recess duties, dismissal duties, detention and any other duties assigned by the administration. Attends school events including but not limited to Back to School Nights, Open Houses, and other events as requested by the administration.

Qualifications:

Successful experience in working with children Positive references and recommendations Clear ability to promote and witness to our Roman Catholic Faith Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals and objectives Must be comfortable with technology such as laptops, website maintenance, interactive white boards, etc.
