In partnership with our ROOTED Small Group Ministry, Men's, Marriage and Care Ministries, this ministry provides a more specific/focused role in the discipleship process of Berean. This is a three-quarter-time position (32 hours) and reports to the Pastor of Adult Ministries.
Job Responsibilities Essential duties:
A leader who cares for and communicates often and well with the needs of her ministry A capable teacher of God's Word Stimulates the prayer and spiritual health of women of all ages and stages Leads and values caring for both the churched and unchurched Recruits, leads, and builds a multiplying leadership team through teaching, bible studies, prayer, and the planning of special gatherings Equip and lead a team of small group leaders that connect with, challenge, and mentor women toward intentional "what's next" spiritual growth Represents Berean's vision through campus activities and communications Plans, promotes and engages with Women's Ministry gatherings and retreats Leads and oversees multi-generational women's mentoring Other duties: Partners with Adult Ministries of Small Groups, Men's, Marriage and Care Ministries in its mission to connect the church and home in impacting the younger generation. Unite with local outreach ministries for impact outside Bereans walls Knowledge, skills, and abilities Faith-Based A personal relationship with Jesus Christ Evidence of growing maturity as a disciple of Christ Humility, a servant leader Values and leads in the rhythm of prayer in ministry Experienced in mentoring and multiplying others to mentor Agreement with Berean Baptist Church statement of faith A member of or actively pursuing membership at Berean Baptist Church Committed to weekly attendance at Berean Baptist Church Philosophical alignment with Berean's leadership and theology Education Bachelors or advanced degree Professional Professional relational and interpersonal skills Capable in oral and written communication skills Casts vision for and represent Women's Ministry within and outside of Berean Demonstrated ability to lead a ministry, identify and equip volunteers, and coordinate effective studies and events Works well with and appreciates team collaboration. Proven ability to problem-solve and make rational decisions; handle sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and trust A supportive presence who prioritizes staff chapel and staff gatherings The adeptness to work effectively with a variety of personalities, cultures, and multiple generations Ability to budget and manage ministry expenses Work Conditions Physical Characteristics Working in person with limited flexibility for remote work Involves some light lifting, up to 20 pounds, and managing supplies for storage Ability to stand and walk around the building for several hours when facilitating or leading Hours Office hours are generally during weekdays. Additional hours include evenings and some weekends based on seasonal studies, women's special events, and church events, such as partnering with local outreach efforts, conferences, and concerts.
