Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary St. Clement of Rome Catholic School seeks a dedicated and faith-filled Teacher to foster a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The Teacher integrates Catholic values into all aspects of instruction, maintains high academic standards, and supports the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS). Job Responsibilities Model and promote Catholic values in all interactions and classroom practices Integrate faith-based principles into lessons and foster a respectful, inclusive environment Participate in liturgies, prayer services, and religious celebrations Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Archdiocesan standards, state standards, and NSBECS Use differentiated instruction and varied teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs Engage students in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication Apply current educational best practices to enhance learning Support students' academic, spiritual, and social-emotional development Maintain high expectations for behavior and achievement Assess student progress using formative and summative methods Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding performance Build positive relationships within the school and parish community Participate in school events, service projects, and collaborative initiatives Engage in professional development and reflect on teaching practices for continuous improvement Work collaboratively with pastor, faculty, staff, and families to support student success Job Qualifications Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church Bachelor's degree in education or related field required Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary education preferred Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and commitment to faith-based education Classroom teaching experience preferred, especially in a Catholic school setting Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to use educational technology to enhance instruction Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, families, and parish community Completion of background screening and compliance with Archdiocese Prevent and Protect STL Safe Environment Program required The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
