The Department of Humanities is a multi-disciplinary department which provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience for Traditional Undergraduate and Peace Online students.
Summary of Position:
William Peace University seeks qualified candidates to teach the following course in the Humanities discipline for the Fall 2026 semester: CC 102: Introduction to Ethics (T/Th 9:55-11:40) Session I (8/19-10/9) & Session II (10/14-12/10) Instruction will take in-person, on-campus. This appointment will be from August 19, 2026 to December 10, 2026 Essential duties and responsibilities: CC 102: Introduction to Ethics 2 credit hours
Course Schedule:
one section on T/Th from 9:55-11:40am in Session I (8/19-10/9) and another section on T/Th at the same time in Session II (10/14-12/10) In this introductory course, students will improve their ability to justify their moral beliefs when attempting to solve moral problems on their own. Students will use an ethical decision-making model in order to answer a difficult ethical question for someone in their anticipated career. Students will examine ethical theories with the goal of identifying and refining their own moral principles. Students will analyze contemporary moral problems in order to understand and evaluate other people's moral arguments and to create their own moral arguments.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's degree in the discipline
